VisualStat installation package include the Microsoft Windows installer 2.0 bootstrap loader. The bootstrap loader checks to see if the Windows installer is already on the target machine. If not, the bootstrap loader installs the correct installer for the target machine's operating system.

Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC)

VisualStat setup program include Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) 2.7 SP1. This release provides basically the same version of MDAC that was released with Microsoft Windows® XP.

Microsoft Jet components

The Microsoft Jet components (Jet 4.0 SP3) is not shipped with MDAC 2.7. The Jet 4.0 components is used by VisualStat to import external database. This component is not included in the VisualStat setup program. You must install it manually either from VisualStat CD-Rom or by from Microsoft Download page (http://www.microsoft.com/data/download_Jet4SP3.htm).

ODBC drivers

VisualStat use ODBC drivers to import external database. VisualStat CD-Rom is provided with many drivers, including SPSS Connect ODBC Driver, SAS Universal ODBC Driver, Visual FoxPro ODBC Driver and Microsoft Jet Database. Before import SPSS or SAS file, you need the corresponding ODBC Driver to be installed. ODBC Drivers are available for download from Archives.
